MasterChef's newly crowned winner brought along her signatures dishes to help kick off Foodies Festival at Syon Park.
Saliha Mahmood-Ahmed, will treat her fans to live cooking demonstrations at the Foodies festival over the May Bank Holiday Weekend (May 27 – 29) in Syon Park.
Visitors will be able to ask the winner questions and get recipe tips as she cooks her signature ‘east meets west’ dishes live on May 29.
Ms Mahmood-Ahmed said: “I’m so excited to join Foodies Festival for my first live cooking demonstration since winning MasterChef.
“Foodies Festival is the sort of event I always loved going to, and I cant believe I’ll now be joining the line up of Michelin starred chefs to inspire fellow foodies in London.”
The other three female MasterChef finalists - Lorna Robertson, Giovanna Ryan and Alison O’Reilly – will also take part putting on a live demo as the ‘Three Girls Cook in the Chef’s theatre May 28.
Foodie fans can check out the culinary skills and delicious dishes from the other celebrity chefs, including Rosemary Shrager, Candice Brown, Gary Foulkes, Jane Devonshire, Anjula Devi, Miguel Barclay, in the chefs theatre throughout the weekend.
Jane Devonshire, winner of the 2016 MasterChef series said: “I love Foodies Festival and being a part of the show, having taken part last year shortly after winning MasterChef.
“When I'm not in the Chef's Theatre you'll find me exploring the exhibitor stalls to see what delicious treats are on offer, getting lured in by the Street Food Village or chatting to visitors."
The gastronomical festival will also include a new Cakes & Desserts Theatre, a daily ‘Foodies Cake Off’, a street food avenue and a variety of food and drink masterclasses.
Visitors can sit back and enjoy the sounds and lyrics from several unsigned bands - such as Ruby Confue, Natalie Shay, Axel Jansson and Fifth Floor who will be playing on the live music stage.
Brand new for this year, fitness fanatics will have the chance to take part in a jam-packed timetable of free yoga and wellbeing classes in the healthy living zone – run by Lululemon and yogahaven – from 11am – 5pm each day.
