Gorgeous gardens around Richmond will be opened to the public for one day only this month to raise money for local charities.
The 15 gardens are all set on the beautiful slopes of Richmond Hill - within walking distance from each other - and will be opened on Sunday, May 21, from 11am to 5pm.
There will be a variety of gardens to visit including those featuring city greenery and seasonal flowers, flourishing vegetables and herbs, pergolas and even an assortment of water features.
Visitors will also be able to buy freshly brewed coffee, tea and home-made cakes at St Matthias church hall and Gloucester House and some gardens will also have plants on sale to the public.
All the gardens are accessible from Richmond town centre and Richmond riverside, the famous Turner view from the Terrace and Richmond park are all a stroll away.
A similar event was run in 2015 attracting more than 1,000 visitors and raising £11,000 for local charities so it is hoped that this one will be even more successful.
Proceeds for this year’s event will be divided between INS, Richmond EAL Friendship Group, The Conservation Volunteers, the Richmond Group and Off the Record Twickenham.
Tickets are available on the day from each of the gardens for £10 per adult and allow entry into all the open gardens. Children under 16 go free. Or you can purchase tickets in advance from https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/richmond-hill-open-gardens-2017-tickets-31414982057?aff=eac2
