A human skeleton, artefacts from half a million years ago and Roman costumes will be showcased in this two-part Festival of Archaeology.
On July 23, archaeologists from the Thames Discovery Programme will demonstrate how to identify time periods through objects such as clay pipes, and will use the skeleton to illustrate how bones are identified.
Roman Day takes place on July 25 and will see historian Dr Pamela Greenwood taking visitors on a journey through the fascinating lives of Romans, with costumes to try on and artefacts to explore.
