Trumpeters House opens its doors for a special event for the Poppy Factory.
Sitting between the River Thames and Richmond Green, the house is where Queen Elizabeth I spent her last moments and is named after the two statues of trumpeting figures that mark the gates to the old palace.
Visitors to the house on Sunday, May 24, can enjoy an afternoon strolling around the private grounds while enjoying tea and cake, with the £5 entry fee going towards helping disabled veterans finding employment.
Liz George, head of fundraising at the Poppy Factory, said: "This a wonderful opportunity to see a magnificent garden, not often open to members of the public.
"We are most grateful to Baroness van Dedem and are looking forward to welcoming our supporters, their friends and those who enjoy viewing gardens and plants to this historic site on Whitsun Bank Holiday Sunday afternoon."
The garden is open from 2pm and 5pm and tickets can be purchased on the day or in advance by calling 020 8939 1829.
