Miranda Sykes: Partners mandolin player Rex Preston
Famous for being the third member of Show of Hands, Miranda Sykes is one of the few female double bassists in England.
She is also a singer in her own right and performs at Twickfolk this weekend, with the club's crowd sure to be captivated by her musical partnership with mandolin player Rex Preston.
The rare fusion of double bass and mandolin makes for a very exciting pairing on the acoustic roots scene, weaving timeless classics with new and original tunes.
