The tender but volatile relationship between composer Frederic Chopin and novelist George Sand is laid bare for one night only at Richmond Theatre.
Told through extracts from letters and diaries, the story is counterpointed with some of the composer’s most poignant compositions.
Nocturne will be performed by internationally-acclaimed pianist Lucy Parham, West End star Henry Goodman and renowned actress Dame Harriet Walter.
Julian Haylock from BBC Music Magazine says of the production: "Parham's velvet-gloved sonority and rare ability to impart a poetic coherence to Chopin's stream-of-consciousness flights of inspiration has one listening afresh."
