The owner of Twickenham's longest-serving Indian restaurant was dhansak on the ceiling after receiving a Curry Life business achievement award.
Sheesh Mahal, which has been based in London Road for more than 30 years, was given recognition as one of the best achievers in the UK at a ceremony before Christmas.
Awards were given to 21 top Asian entrepreneurs, including Sheesh Mahal owner Mohammed Abdul Monaf, at the ceremony at the Hilton hotel, Heathrow.
Mr Monaf said: "It was fantastic to be awarded in best achieving restaurant category.
"I'd like to thank all our loyal customers who is coming through our doors for over 30 years and to our team at Sheesh Mahal, because it's been a real team effort."
