Five Brentford footballers made a special visit to the Sunlight and Starlight children's wards at the West Middlesex University Hospital before Christmas.
Captain Tony Craig was joined by team mates Jonathan Douglas, Sam Saunders, Stuart Dallas and Nico Yennaris in bringing presents for patients and talking to their families.
Craig said: "All the players were keen to do something for the kids who will not be able to spend Christmas at home with their loved ones.
"We are only too conscious of the support we receive from the local community as a whole, and this is a small way of giving something back."
Tracy Armstrong, paediatric modern matron, said: "We were thrilled to welcome Brentford FC to our wards.
"It really lifted the children’s spirits and it was lovely to see the smiles on their faces.
"Visits like this are really special and I would like to thank the club for giving up their time so generously and for the lovely donation of gifts."
