A discovery day at with Roman artefacts, costumes and games will be taking place at the Museum of Richmond this July to mark the Festival of British Archaeology.
Archaeologist Dr Pamela Greenwood delves into Richmond’s Roman history on Saturday, July 19, for the free event, and on July 23 the museum will show a Time Team film exploring the archaeological foundations of Richmond Palace.
The Festival of Archaeology, co-ordinated by the Council for British Archaeology, is putting on more than 1,000 events nationwide between July 12 and 27.
