It was game, set and match for a tennis clubhouse, which had its grand reopening this month.
Siblings Sebastian and Nadia Sabania had at ace time at the Ham and Petersham Tennis Club after they triumphed in their age categories in tournaments held by the club on Saturday, May 10.
The festivities started in the morning with competition, before Surrey Lawn Tennis Association (LTA) president Tony Scarlett officially opened the clubhouse, joined by colleagues from the association.
Jean-Pierre Guillonnet, senior club coach, said: “The club is very grateful to Surrey LTA for the moral and financial support they have been given.”
Celebrations continued last weekend with a circus-style competition on Saturday, May 17, run by former British Davis Cup player Danny Sapsford, along with player and coach James Auckland.
