Kew Gardens will be the setting for the mayor of Richmond’s tea party this weekend.
Guests have been invited to the Royal Botanical Gardens, Kew, for Councillor Meena Bond’s afternoon tea in the Nash Conservatory.
The Original Maids of Honour, whose signature tart recipe is kept a close-guarded secret, will supply tea, sandwiches and scones for the afternoon’s festivities.
Ticketholders can enjoy a visit to the gardens before the afternoon tea when they buy a ticket.
Money raised will go directly to the mayor’s charities – HomeStart, Richmond, and the Avenue Club, Kew.
