Former Liberal Democrat councillors celebrated the 30th anniversary of when they won control of the council.
Joint deputy leader of the Lib Dems in Richmond, Councillor Sir David Williams, hosted the party at his house with his wife Christine on Sunday, November 10, to mark the day their party took control of the council in a by-election in 1983.
Coun Williams said: “It was a really splendid occasion, we were reminiscing and so on.
“We also all chipped in for a contribution to our election campaign next year to keep the whole thing going.”
Of the members in control in 1983, three are now in the House of Lords, and a fourth a Knight of the Realm.
