Commuters could win one month’s free travel if they stop for a mo-ment and snap a picture of the new additions to trains.
Passengers using South West Trains may have already noticed the moustaches fixed to the vehicles in support of national campaign Movember, which raises money for and awareness of prostate and testicular cancer.
The train company, which has fixed 40 moustaches to the front and back of 20 of its 458 trains on the Waterloo to Reading line, has asked commuters to take a picture and tweet it to @SW_trains using the hashtag #SpotaMoTrain.
A winner will be picked at random on Friday, November 29, and receive a free one month season ticket to travel on the South West Trains network, while three runners up will receive a first class day return ticket for a family of four to any location on the network.
Fleet director for the South West Trains-Network Rail Alliance Christian Roth said: “I’m delighted that we are able to help raise awareness of a charity that is dedicated to such worthy causes.
“Awareness is key to preventing and curing these diseases and as a train operator we’re pleased to be able to promote the issue with our customers and staff whilst raising money for local charities.”
