A heritage festival celebrating Richmond’s rich and vibrant history came to a close this weekend.
The first Know Your Place festival, organised by Richmond Council, ran right through September and offered something for everyone on nearly every day of the month.
The packed programme included a quiz, series of walks and talks and the chance peek behind the scenes with the borough’s archivist who catalogues, preserves, and makes the borough’s heritage accessible.
People were encouraged to discover hidden treasures and gems on their doorstep and took part in a treasure trail, which led them across the borough in search of historical documents.
