Harlequins have got the green light to keep their “temporary” south stand with an increased capacity.
The stand was erected in July 2009 and was given planning permission for a three-year period.
The rugby union club’s application to retain the stand was approved unanimously by Richmond Council's planning committee on Thursday, September 26.
It will be allowed to increase the capacity of the south stand from 4,100 to 4,533 spectators.
The stand will increase the capacity of the entire stadium to hold 14,800 people.
