Tributes have been paid to the 33-year-old man whose body was recovered from the River Crane.
Friends posted messages on Twitter in tribute to Adrian Joseph, whose body was found near Crane Park Island in Twickenham.
Jodie Vivienna tweeted: “r.i.p Adrian Joseph my thoughts are with you daughter and family. you were a good man you will be missed dearly xx”.
Michael Ankobia wrote: “It hurt me greatly to hear what happened to you, I just pray that you're at peace now & that your family finds peace too. Adrian Joseph #RIP”.
Another user Asonman said: “RIP Adrian Joseph gone but NEVER forgotten my love goes out to your little daughter and family :(.”
Mr Joseph, 33, of Park Close in Hounslow, was recovered from the water when police were called shortly after 11am on Monday.
His next of kin have been informed and the death is being treated as unexplained.
A postmortem examination at Kingston Mortuary yesterday proved inconclusive.
Police are awaiting the results from further toxicology tests.
Police confirmed yesterday that the cause of death was drowning.
Acting Detective Chief Inspector Clare Murray said: “We are trying to establish the last movements of Mr Joseph before he was found on Monday.
“Following previous enquiries we know he was seen on Friday at around 6pm in Cross Deep, Twickenham.
“It is thought he was wearing a hooded top and lycra training shorts.”
Police are appealing for anyone who had seen or who had direct contact with Mr Joseph between September 13 and September 16 to get in touch on 0208 721 5932.
