Skilled workers, managers and professionals who are struggling to get a job can get help from a free course.
Room for Work offers a 12-week course in Hampton Wick to teach people job search techniques, networking, social media skills, CV improvement and competency-based interview technique.
Programme leader Robin McKay Bell said: “Room for Work fills the gap between Jobcentre Plus and expensive career coaching.
“Service users don’t have to be older. We also assist people aged between 25 and 45, but we don’t have an offering for the unskilled or those seeking their first job.
“Much of the course is delivered in a workshop format and there is a social benefit as well. Job search is a lonely activity and it really helps to be with others in the same situation.”
Classes are on Tuesday mornings from 10am to 12.30pm at the Warehouse, St John’s Church, Church Grove, Hampton Wick. The next course runs from September 17 to December 10.
