If you fancy a laugh, head to the Turk’s Head in St Margarets this weekend, for a night of pure comedy from an eclectic mix of acts.
Bearcat Comedy, which runs events from September through to May at the cosy pub, has pulled a stellar line up out of the bag including Geoff Norcott, Gordon Southern and Paddy Lennox.
The only double act of the night, the Raymond and Timpkins Revue, an uncle-nephew combo, will dazzle the crowd with mime comedy music.
The double act, which has been working together for more than 25 years, are regulars at the pub.
One half of the duo, Tony Salmon says: “It is a complete mime act done to a mashed up backing track of songs right from 1930s to chart hits now, with props for everything.
“There really aren’t many comedy double acts left any more I think it’s because you live in each other’s pockets.
“We have been working together for more than 25 years – we are more married to one another than our wives.
“The highlights for us are always playing the smaller comedy clubs because they are so much more intimate and it’s great having the crowd right there in front of you.”
Bearcat comedy at the Turk's Head, TW1 1LF; September 7; 8pm; £13 to £15; bearcatcomedy.co.uk; 020 8607 9190.
