A family supported by a children’s hospice is urging people to get on their bikes and join them for a charity cycle.
Richard and Faye Gregory, and their daughter Emily, will take part in Shooting Star Chase’s hospice to hospice bike ride in memory of their son Nathan who died last year.
The bike ride offers 20, 50 or 70-mile options which all start and finish at Painshill, Cobham, and link the two children’s hospices in Guildford and Hampton.
The charity is hoping to recruit 650 riders, one for every family they care for, for the event on September 29.
Emma Willshire, challenge events fundraiser at Shooting Star Chase, said: “Riding in memory of a loved one, in support of someone you know or in support of what we do here at Shooting Star Chase is such a positive thing to do.
“It helps everyone taking part to individually make a difference towards making every day count for families with children or teenagers with life-limiting conditions.”
