If tapas gets your taste buds tingling and jazz music get your hips grooving, then head on down to Richmond in September for a night of pure entertainment.
Jazz pianist Jonathan Gee, who has been described as one of Europe’s most celebrated jazz musicians, will play a free show at Ricon Bar Espanol along with saxophone player Tim Whitehead.
The musician from Ham, who had worked with Gee on a project called Jazz Live Dance at the Rose Theatre in Kingston, says the show is the first he will play at the Spanish restaurant.
He says: “It is just a small gig. It will be a really nice local intimate thing. We have got a really good playing relationship.
“It will be very spontaneous – we do what we feel like doing.
“It’s a really nice place. It’s very relaxed and the people are really nice – that makes all the difference.”
Jazz evening; Rincon bar espanol, Paradise Road, Richmond; September 8; 7.30pm; Free.
