Visitors to Ham library will notice new and improved facilities after it re-opened following a six-week uplift programme.
The £146,000 revamp brought in a meeting space and IT suite, refurbishment of the toilets, kitchen, shelving and windows.
Councillor Pamela Fleming, cabinet member for communities, said the people of Ham deserved a fit-for-purpose library.
She said: “The transformation is dramatic and I’m sure the new community space that can accommodate meetings, child care services, and training opportunities will be well used.”
