A lady in her 80s who was hit by a car in Twickenham last week is in a critical but stable condition.
The woman was rushed to hospital on Friday, August 16, after suffering serious head injuries when she was hit by a car in Copthall Gardens at about 9.25am.
The road was closed until 1pm while police carried out extensive investigations.
A London Ambulance Service spokesman said last week: “We were called at just before 9.25am to reports of a road traffic collision.
“We sent a single responder in a car and an ambulance crew to the scene. A medical team from London’s Air Ambulance in a car also attended.
“Staff treated one patient, a woman reported to be in her 80s, for a head injury. She was taken to St Mary’s Hospital and was escorted by the air ambulance doctor.”
Police enquiries are ongoing but no arrests have been made at this stage.
