Global world music will bounce around Richmond riverside at free two-day music festival On the Edge this weekend.

There will be traditional beats and exotic summer sounds at the music festival organised by Richmond Council’s arts service.

The council’s cabinet member for business, community, and culture, Councillor Pamela Fleming, said: “On the Edge is a fantastic weekend out for the whole family – with this year’s performances also taking place at Richmond town centre.

“It’s wonderful to see how many families, young people, and local residents of all ages, flock to the festival and with this year’s line-up the programme is promising to be bigger and better than ever before.”

There will be town centre performances from Les Moineaux de Paris on August 17, and the Punjab Dancers on August 18, with a bustle of bands also joining the two-day line-up including Zong Zing Allstars, Barraca Flamenca and the Runaway Wedding Band.

One The Edge; Richmond riverside and town centre, Saturday, August 17, to Sunday, August 18, 1pm to 8pm both days, free.
