A Teddington florist has collaborated with a vintage boutique and a hairdressing salon to create an exhibit at this year’s Hampton Court Palace Flower Show.
Jo Butler, who owns a flower shop in Kingston Road, will exhibit in the roses and floristry marquee for the second year.
The Teddington florist was inspired to work with Mela Mela Vintage after seeing the vintage 50s and quintessentially English design theme for the floristry displays this year.
The two Teddington businesses decided to create a vintage 50s English garden party scene, with dresses and accessories from Mela Mela and flowers from Jo Butler Flowers.
A third Teddington business, Elements Salon, came on board to add vintage hair to mannequins that will show off the dresses on the stand.
Richmond Council’s VisitRichmond have also partnered up for this year’s flower show.
The group have joined with the Furniture Scheme and Garden Gang to showcase the services they provide the borough.
Hampton Court Palace Flower Show will run from Tuesday, July 9, to Sunday, July 14. The first two days will be for RHS members only.
