Nominations are being welcomed for Richmond Council’s dignity in care awards.

The awards, in their second year, give people the chance to recognise the role care workers play in the borough.

More than 30 nominations have been made to date but the council wants more to come forward.

Councillor David Marlow, cabinet member for adult services, health and housing, said: “We have had a fantastic response so far with residents recognising the hard work and dedication of carers, exceeding and going above and beyond their call of duty.

“We know there are many more and with only two weeks left to nominate, I urge residents to take the time to value and appreciate their care worker.”

Nominations close on Monday, July 15.
