The east Twickenham fair proved a big success this year.
Overlooking the Thames, families streamed into the picturesque setting of Cambridge Gardens, where there were cake stalls, henna tattooing and the Thames Cutter on Saturday, June 22.
The editor of East Twickenham Village’s website, Su Bofanti, said: “It was great, despite the odd shower. Hundreds of people turned up.
“Lots of families love to go to Cambridge Gardens because of the kids’ playground.”
One of the highlights was the row on the river. The new Richmond Bridge Boat Club offered visitors the opportunity to row their six-oared Thames Cutter.
The event was so popular that they filled all of the available slots.
Mrs Bonfanti said: “My husband gave it a go and really enjoyed it. He said when everybody was rowing together it was terrific.”
Also at the fair was a fancy dress competition, which had two groups, one for three to six-year-olds and another for seven to 11-year-olds.
The winners were a girl who dressed up as a tooth fairy and a boy dressed as a viking.
The gardens have play areas suitable for children up to the age of 13 and a cafe.
