The founder of charity Aid for Japan is hosting a Japanese beer tasting event to raise money for children orphaned by the tsunami in 2011.
Through her charity, Akemi Solloway Tanaka organised for groups of orphans to come to Richmond last Christmas and she is hosting a residential English course for some of them this summer.
The fundraising event will include a calligraphy lesson, oriental meal and beer and will be held at the Royal Oak in Richmond Road, Twickenham, on Saturday, June 29.
