More than 2,000 children and their teachers enjoyed a concert in the sun.
The Royal Military School of Music, Corps of Army Music, welcomed EastEnders actor John Partridge to the grounds of Kneller Hall in Twickenham for the charity concert.
The annual event saw the Army musicians put on a show for schoolchildren in partnership with children’s charity Variety on Wednesday, June 26.
Music included tunes from Goldilocks and the three bears, Gangnam Style, the Ceilidh Band of the Royal Regiment of Scotland and Row 8 from the Band of the Adjutant General’s Corps.
Row 8 entertained the children with music from Jessie J, Pink and Maroon 5, with John Partridge joined the band on stage to sing I believe in a thing called love by the Darkness.
Student bandmaster Basudev Gurung from the Band of the Brigade of Gurkhas said: “The concert was great fun and to see the children enjoying the music and joining in made it even more enjoyable.”
There will be five public concerts in July at Kneller Hall. For information, visit army.mod.uk/khconcerts.
