A man who died on a Kingston estate last night has been named locally as Colin Bolton.
Mr Bolton, 28 and from Richmond according to his Facebook page, was an electrical engineer at UK Safety Management Limited.
It is believed Mr Bolton was a former student of Richmond College.
He died outside Thursley House in Kingsnympton Estate last night.
Police are yet to formally identify the man but said his next of kin had been informed.
According to Mr Bolton’s Facebook page, he had only just changed his relationship status to "in a relationship" the night before he died.
Police were called to the estate at about 6.20pm yesterday after a report of a stabbing.
Officers, the ambulance service and London's Air Ambulance attended the scene but the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
A 44-year-old man was arrested in Portsmouth this morning on suspicion of murder and is now in custody at a south London hospital.
A post mortem examination is expected to take place at 2pm.
