Surrey’s Police and Crime Commissioner will be assisted in delivering his election promises by a leading figure from the Probation Trust.
Leighe Rogers, a director of Surrey and Sussex Probation Trust and with more than 25 years’ experience within the criminal justice system, has been transferred temporarily to the office of the Police and Crime Commissioner for Surrey to help achieve the People’s Priorities commitments.
Kevin Hurley, police and crime commissioner for Surrey, said: “We can only deliver the People’s Priorities in partnership with the wider criminal justice system and, with her expertise and experience.
“Leighe will be a great asset in helping us work more closely together to make sure that we are putting victims first and reducing reoffending in Surrey.”
