Nosy neighbours were able to discover the secrets behind the fences of eight Teddington gardens that opened for a day.
Visitors toured the gardens, which opened for the Teddington in Flower charity event that raised more than £1,500 on Sunday, June 2.
Sheena Harold of the Teddington Society said rows of purple flower heads greeted people in several gardens and four new and four perennial favourites provided horticultural interest.
Teas were served among tombstones at St Mary with St Alban Church, in Ferry Road, where a choral evensong was held to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the Queen’s coronation.
Visitors also enjoyed cakes on sale and displays of jewellery and art.
