Carnival and fun fair spirit is on its way for this year’s Hampton Carnival.
Charity stalls, a model railway, dance displays and storytelling sessions will be on offer at the event, which will be held at the Nursery Green Park in the Avenue, Hampton, from 12.30pm on Saturday, June 8.
Chairman of the Hampton Carnival’s organising committee Brenda Badcock said: “The Hampton Carnival is a real high point in the Hampton social calendar and is a great way of raising awareness of the White House Community Association and also for raising much needed funds for the association.
“Not many people realise that the White House Community Association relies entirely on charitable donations, revenues from hire of the White House itself and, vitally, fund raising events such as the carnival.
“We have a great programme of events which is being added to by the day.
“It’s a really great opportunity for the community to come together and celebrate all that’s great about living in Hampton while, at the same time, supporting a hugely important community resource.”
