A man who allegedly stole more than £8,000 worth of mobile phones has appeared in court.

Jay Eljonsafi, 21, of Pinner Road, Northwood, faced three charges of theft when he appeared at South West London Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, May 29.

He is alleged to have stolen five mobile phones from Carphone Warehouse in George Street, Richmond, on February 2, and another six phones from the same shop on October 7, last year.

He is also charged with stealing a further two phones from Carphone Warehouse in Worthing, Sussex, on March 3.

Mr Eljonsafi was bailed on the condition he does not enter the borough of Richmond or any Carphone Warehouse shop and is due to appear at Kingston Crown Court on June 12.
