A man and woman were taken to hospital as a priority over the weekend after their car crashed into a hotel.
A 48-year-old man, who was driving, and a 35-year-old woman were treated by the London Ambulance Service (LAS) after it car crashed into Petersham Hotel in Nightingale Lane shortly before 5pm on Sunday, May 26.
The woman was removed from the car by LAS, who then called the London Fire Brigade at about 5.20pm to cut the man from the Ford Galaxy, which was severely damaged.
A spokesman at Richmond fire station said: “The driver had to be extracted by fire crews because of the nature of the injuries.
“A crew from Richmond blue watch attended. It took about half an hour from the time of the call.”
LAS sent a duty officer, two ambulance crews and the hazardous area response team.
An LAS spokesman said: “Staff treated two patients, a 35-year-old female for facial injuries and arm injuries.
“A second patient, a 48-year-old man, was treated for leg and facial injuries. Both were taken as a priority to St George’s major trauma centre.”
