Memories of Twickenham Riverside, which looks into the history of this beautiful area by the Thames, has uncovered links to Kate Middleton at the former pool site.
The project, organised by Richmond Environmental Information Centre (REIC), has been congratulated by the Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF).
When REIC originally applied to the HLF two years ago it was agreed with Richmond Council that the project would be found a home once complete, which they successfully achieved through an exhibit at the old pool site, formerly home to Richmond House.
During the project, researchers were excited to find out that the ancestors of Kate Middleton had a strong association with Richmond House and Twickenham.
REIC honorary secretary Teresa Read said: “You will see throughout the project that many local residents have contributed to Memories of Twickenham Riverside and it was always an important factor that we would involve as many members of the community as possible in the project.
“I am sure that anyone looking at the website will see many familiar faces.”
