A stunning children’s nursery has once again been awarded the ‘Outstanding’ rating following a recent Ofsted inspection.
Richmond Day Nursery, part of nationwide nursery group Asquith, has recently been transformed by a £65k+ refurbishment. The nursery’s brand new adventure garden is filled with specially-designed resources to enhance and support outdoor education for the under fives; children have a story-time tipi, a climbing frame, planting and growing areas, an over-and-under tunnel and much more.
The nursery, which also has state-of-the-art technology including an interactive whiteboard and a touch-screen computer, was described by the Ofsted inspector as a place where personal, social and emotional development is well promoted.
The inspector also commented: “Children’s behaviour is exemplary because they are thoroughly engaged in meaningful activities throughout the day.”
Staff strive to provide children with a strong set of learning skills so that they are well prepared for school, and Nursery Manager Candice Emo says of the setting’s fantastic achievement: “We are so proud to have once again been awarded an ‘Outstanding’ rating. Our one-of-a-kind nursery provides new and exciting opportunities for children, and the whole team works hard to make sure children leave nursery with confidence in their own abilities.”
