Two Hampton Hill women have raised £1,000 from their weight loss challenge.
Susan Green, 47, and her niece Danielle Parker, 21, have each lost three stone since they started their challenge in March. For every pound lost, sponsors will donate £1 to the Greenwood Centre.
The two women wanted to motivate themselves to get fit by raising £3,000 and hope to lose seven stone each by taking part in the 90 Day Challenge programme.
Though they plan to reach their fundraising goal within the next two months, they are aiming for a long-term benefit.
Mrs Green said: “We want a life change rather than a diet. We didn’t want it to be a gimmick.”
Having raised £1,000 with the help of small sponsors, the women are now waiting for donations from bigger companies.
Mrs Green said: “We’re doing this because everybody in the area has been to Greenwood Centre in some way or another and everyone benefits from it.”
