Garden lovers can marvel at the beautiful horticulture on Sunday as the garden at Sudbrook Cottage in Ham opens its doors to the public.
Sudbrook Cottage lies in Ham Gate Avenue, the road that leads from Ham Common to Richmond Park and is one of a series of small cottages that once served Sudbrook Park Mansion, which now survives as the home of Richmond Golf Club.
The garden, which was previously owned by well known gardener and writer Beverley Nichols, is densely planted with formalised and natural growing plants.
Clipped box hedging, benches and statues all add structure and balance to the garden and all entry fees will be donated to the Teenage Cancer Trust.
Sudbrook Cottage garden open day; Sudbrook Cottage, Ham Gate Avenue, TW10 5HB; May 12; 2pm – 5pm; £3, children free.
