Twickenham MP Vince Cable has praised young entrepreneur Inderdeep Singh, following the success of his independent clothing business, Gustostore.
Mr Singh’s company enjoyed profitable success last year and offers a range of high-quality clothing inspired by hip-hop trendsetters.
Mr Singh said: “We supplied T-shirts to several retail stores for three months. This proved to be our most profitable part of the year, as our turnover tripled.”
Despite this, Gustostore needed finance from the start-up loans company to progress to the next level of growth.
Mr Singh plans to launch and promote a pop-up store in the Mornington Crescent later this year that will come as a result of a £5,000 start-up loan and access to a mentor. Dr Cable championed the initiative.
He said: “It’s great to see our young people being given a chance to realise their dreams and turn their passion into a career. This is fantastic for the local area and I fully support all of our entrepreneurs to start their own business and help build the local economy.”
