Volunteers turned out for a litter pick and graffiti clean organised by Teddington Society’s environment group.

The group of about 16 people cleaned up Station Road, Victoria Road and the surrounding area in Teddington on Saturday, April 27.

Organiser Geoff Howland said: “It went excellently. We collected several bags of recyclables, tin cans and bottles as well as about a dozen bags of landfill rubbish.”

The group do several litter picks a year including their most popular event, which sees the Teddington war memorial cleaned up in time for the Remembrance Sunday service.
