Sir David Attenborough will chair an animal lecture event for families later this month.
The wildlife expert, who lives in Isleworth, will talk about butterfly migration and in particular the cabbage whites that fly over his garden every year.
As patron of the Environment Trust for Richmond upon Thames and one of the world’s finest naturalists, Sir David Attenborough is a great supporter of environmental education for young people.
The Environment Trust for Richmond upon Thames, which is holding its third annual lecture event, had focused the talks on animal lifecycles.
People are encouraged to attend Duke Street Church in Richmond to learn about the natural world and how different animals live their lives.
Other speakers at the event will include Joe Pecorelli of the Environment Trust and the Zoological Society of London and Sivi Sivanesan from the wildlife charity Froglife.
Trust chairman John Anderson says: “No one has had a greater impact on the way people view the natural world than Sir David and we are honoured that he will chair our family event again this year.
“Guests will also get the chance to meet the wildlife guru as he takes part in a book signing after the lecture.”
