A child escaped a bungalow fire, which is believed to have been caused by an electrical fault, yesterday.
The child and four adults managed to escape the blaze, which started in a bungalow in Ellerman Avenue, before fire fighters arrived.
Two semi-detached bungalows were severely damaged by the fire, which is thought to have been caused by a fault in electrical wiring, but is still under investigation.
The blaze destroyed the roof and badly damaged the ground floor of one house and caused serious damage to the roof at the other.
A Twickenham fire fighter said: "I can confirm there was a fire in Ellerman Avenue. I know that the fire crews did work really hard and they did a really good job at saving the second bungalow."
A fire engine from Twickenham and Feltham and two from Heston brought 21 fire fighters and officers who tackled the blaze that started just after 7pm and was under control by 9pm.
