Gardening enthusiasts will have the chance to develop their horticultural skills working on a £1.5m project to improve the Isabella Plantation in Richmond Park.
The scheme, funded by Heritage Fund and Big Lottery Fund, will allow successful candidates to gain a level 2 diploma in work-based horticulture.
There are two funded apprentice placements available, ideal for school leavers, one of which starts this September and the other the same time next year.
Applications are being accepted to fill the first of the 18 month long apprenticeships, with the closing date at the end of April.
Apprentices will work on the 40-acre plantation four days a week and learn about all aspects of plant care and maintenance, cultivation and landscaping.
Assistant park manager Jo Scrivener said: “The new apprentices will be lucky enough to work on this fantastic project which will aim to improve access and visitor facilities as well as bring environmental and ecological enhancements to the plantation.
“The Isabella plantation is one of the most visited attractions in Richmond Park and it is hoped these improvements will encourage education and community activities and be enjoyed by park users for years to come.”
