Mental health counsellors raised £2,000 in a sponsored walk dressed as famous mentally ill patients and psychiatrists.
The counsellors from Richmond Borough Mind’s psychotherapy and counselling service did the sponsored walk to raise money for the service.
The service already offers a range of face-to-face therapies and these donations will enable the group to extend the number of sessions for people on limited incomes who would benefit from further help.
Chief executive Val Farmer said: “We would like to thank all those who have so generously donated, including Boots in Richmond for a first aid kit - should we need it.”
The walk on March 27 featured Sigmund Freud and One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest’s Nurse Ratched, The Scream and Randle McMurphy.
