A woman suffered pelvic and shoulder injuries after she was hit by a car today.
Police closed Waldegrave Road in both directions from Teddington High Street after the woman was hit at about 12.13pm.
A London Ambulance Service spokeswoman said: "We were called just after midday to reports of a road traffic collision involving a car and a pedestrian.
“We sent a single responder in a car, and an ambulance crew. Staff treated a woman, reported to be in her forties for pelvic and shoulder injuries.
"She was stabilised at the scene and then taken to the major trauma centre at St George’s Hospital.”
Drivers were advised to avoid the area, which is already congested due to road works taking place to make controversial changes to the roundabout in the same road.
The road has re-opened and traffic is flowing well.
