Swan Award winning Barnes Charity Players present “Mrs Warren’s Profession” by George Bernard Shaw at the OSO Arts Centre, Barnes, SW13 OLF from Monday, 20th February to Saturday, 25th February at 7.30 pm. Directed by Susan Conte, this outspoken comedy was a cause célèbre in its day, dealing as it does with sexuality and was originally banned by the Lord Chamberlain in 1893. Nowadays it is hard to see what the fuss was about, but it remains a beautifully written, witty play that raises issues about personal morality and courage that would be admired today.
