Comedian Stephen Mangan helped raise a jolly decent amount of money for charity during his stint at Richmond Theatre last month.
Audiences came to see the former Green Wing actor starring alongside Matthew Macfadyen in Jeeves and Wooster.
During the Saturday’s two sell-out performances, crowds donated more than £1,700 to the National Brain Appeal.
Mangan has been a supporter of the charity since losing his father to brain cancer.
It marked the start of the charity’s annual fundraising campaign, the National Brain Appeal Pyjama Party, which took place last week.
Theresa Dauncey, chief executive of the National Brain Appeal, said: “We really are overwhelmed by the generosity of the Richmond Theatre audiences from Saturday.
“To raise more than £1,700 in one event was a great way to start our 2013 campaign.
“We are also extremely grateful to Stephen and Matthew for their support."
