Extremities @ The Tabard Theatre
This play has been entered for the best new play prize at the London Fringe Awards and it thoroughly deserves the honour.
Its theme is the virtually taboo subject of rape, and its effect on a woman who suffers this life and mind-changing experience.
But it is not just a catalogue of horrors and there are constant surprises as the plot unfolds and asks the question, can murder be the only revenge?
The heavy demands on the acting skills of both victim, Angela Bull, and perpetrator are fully met, while Kas Darley as her loyal but not uncritical friend is most impressive. This is a 90 minutes that you won't forget.
Until May 7
Richard Langton
